About the Pest

Subterranean termites are a major concern in Northeast Florida because they travel from the soil into structural wood, often through concealed routes. Activity may develop around foundations, slab penetrations, crawlspaces, expansion joints, and moisture-prone construction areas.

Signs of Activity

Signs can include mud tubes, swarmers around windows or doors, discarded wings, wood that sounds hollow, bubbling paint, and damage discovered during renovation or inspection. Many properties show few visible signs until the issue is already well established.
